HOW SHADCHAN OR MATCHMAKING-PLATFORM ACCESS ACTUALLY WORKS Notwithstanding anything else in this Agreement, the following describes the actual technical mechanism used by LiZug: (a) A compatibility report generated by LiZug is NOT automatically visible to any shadchan or Jewish matchmaking platform, even one that referred you to LiZug or invited you to the Platform. By default, the report is visible only to you and your partner. (b) The shadchan or matchmaking platform receives access to your report only after at least one member of the couple takes an explicit, affirmative action inside their LiZug account to release the report to that specific, named shadchan or matchmaking platform. (c) Until such affirmative release action is taken, the shadchan or matchmaking platform sees only that a report is ready and awaiting client authorization. They do not have access to the report contents. (d) You may choose never to release the report. If neither you nor your partner releases the report, the shadchan or matchmaking platform will not receive access to it through the Platform. (e) Any authorization granted elsewhere in this Agreement for a shadchan or matchmaking platform to receive information about you is effective only with respect to disclosures you actually elect to make through this release mechanism, or that you otherwise voluntarily make outside the Platform. Merely accepting this Agreement does not, by itself, cause any report to be shared with any shadchan or matchmaking platform.
IMPORTANT NOTICE THIS AGREEMENT APPLIES TO USERS WHO ELECT TO SHARE THEIR COMPATIBILITY ASSESSMENT AND REPORT WITH A SHADCHAN OR JEWISH MATCHMAKING PLATFORM THROUGH LIZUG. BY ACCEPTING THIS AGREEMENT, YOU AUTHORIZE CERTAIN DISCLOSURES OF YOUR INFORMATION TO THAT SHADCHAN OR MATCHMAKING PLATFORM AND ACKNOWLEDGE IMPORTANT LIABILITY LIMITATIONS.
LiZug is a compatibility assessment and reporting tool. LiZug permits users to share their assessment answers, compatibility reports, and related information with independent shadchanim or Jewish matchmaking platforms that they choose to work with. LiZug itself does not perform matchmaking, does not introduce users, and does not conduct shidduchim. This Agreement governs authorization for shadchan or matchmaking-platform access, disclosure of assessment and compatibility information, confidentiality expectations, and allocation of responsibility concerning any shadchan or matchmaking-platform involvement.
Shadchanim and Jewish matchmaking platforms that access LiZug are independent third parties. They are NOT employees, agents, representatives, fiduciaries, joint venturers, or legal partners of LiZug. LiZug does not control or supervise the independent professional judgment, communications, or shidduch decisions of any shadchan or matchmaking platform.
By taking the specific release action described above under 'HOW SHADCHAN OR MATCHMAKING-PLATFORM ACCESS ACTUALLY WORKS' for a designated shadchan or matchmaking platform, you expressly authorize LiZug to share with that designated recipient: profile information, photos (if provided), compatibility reports, assessment outputs, relationship preferences, religious and lifestyle information, and other assessment-related information. You authorize the recipient to review such information, discuss such information as part of their own shidduch process, use such information for legitimate compatibility evaluation purposes, and rely on it within their independent professional workflow.
Shadchanim and matchmaking platforms may use your information solely for compatibility evaluation, shidduch facilitation carried out by them, compatibility discussions, and related purposes. They are prohibited from selling information, publicly disclosing information, posting information online, using information for unrelated commercial purposes, or violating applicable privacy laws.
You acknowledge and agree that a shidduch process operated by a shadchan or matchmaking platform may require discussion of your information with potential candidates and their advisors; the recipient may summarize, discuss, interpret, or communicate information concerning you; LiZug cannot fully control independent actions of shadchanim or matchmaking platforms; certain disclosures are inherent to any shidduch activity; and LiZug does not guarantee confidentiality by third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release LiZug and its affiliates from claims arising out of disclosures authorized by this Agreement, actions of shadchanim or matchmaking platforms, communications by them, their shidduch discussions, any introductions they facilitate independently of LiZug, relationship outcomes, or misuse of information by third parties beyond LiZug's reasonable control. This release does not extend to claims arising from LiZug's own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, and nothing herein limits non-waivable rights under applicable law, including the Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act.
LiZug contractually requires shadchanim and matchmaking platforms that access the Platform to maintain confidentiality of user information, through the Shadchan Tool Usage Agreement. However, LiZug does not guarantee compliance and shall not be responsible for unauthorized acts outside its reasonable control, other than LiZug's own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
Users may revoke access prospectively by disabling the sharing feature or notifying LiZug at support@lizug.com. LiZug will honor a revocation within fifteen (15) days. Revocation does not apply retroactively to disclosures already authorized or previously made.
LiZug may maintain audit logs, access records, communication metadata, and monitoring systems related to shadchan or matchmaking-platform activity for security, compliance, fraud prevention, legal defense, and operational integrity.
This Agreement survives termination of Platform access, any shidduch process, or user accounts.
This Agreement is incorporated into and governed by the LiZug Terms of Service.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT BY ACCEPTING THIS AGREEMENT, YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THE RELEASE MECHANISM DESCRIBED ABOVE UNDER 'HOW SHADCHAN OR MATCHMAKING-PLATFORM ACCESS ACTUALLY WORKS' WORKS, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ACCEPTING THIS AGREEMENT ALONE DOES NOT SHARE ANYTHING WITH ANY SHADCHAN OR MATCHMAKING PLATFORM, YOU AUTHORIZE THE DISCLOSURES DESCRIBED HEREIN ONLY IF AND WHEN YOU TAKE THE SPECIFIC RELEASE ACTION, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT LIZUG IS AN ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING TOOL AND NOT A MATCHMAKING SERVICE, ACCEPT ASSOCIATED RISKS, AND AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT.
